Vertical Blinds
Vertical vanes turn and stack to the side; for wide glazing and offices.
Light in vertical lines
A vertical blind is made of vertical fabric vanes hanging from a track at the top. The vanes turn on their own axes to set the light, and the blind stacks to the side to clear the glass. It gives wide façades, sliding doors and offices an orderly, quiet look.
How it works
Turn the vanes to adjust the light step by step, keeping your view out while the room stays hidden from passers-by. To open the blind fully, the vanes stack to one side or part from the middle to both sides. That makes it a practical choice for sliding doors and busy passages.
Where it is used
Vertical blinds come into their own at tall, wide windows, in winter gardens, offices and meeting rooms; the vertical line of the vanes makes a ceiling look higher. With light-filtering or blackout fabrics, they are suited to how the room is used.
Measuring, fitting and guarantee
A vertical blind is made to measure, and we take the measurements in your space ourselves. Orders are ready within 3–8 working days, and our own team fits them. Like all our products, our vertical blinds carry a 3-year guarantee.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between vertical and Venetian blinds?
A Venetian blind has horizontal slats and draws up; a vertical blind has vertical vanes and stacks to the side. On wide, tall glazing and sliding doors the vertical blind is more practical, while at standard windows the Venetian blind is more common.
How are vertical blinds cleaned?
Dusting the vanes regularly with a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner on low suction is enough. Marks can be wiped with a slightly damp cloth; the vanes unhook one by one, so they can be cleaned separately when needed.
Do vertical blinds black out a room?
With vanes in blackout fabric, most of the light is stopped when the vanes are closed. A little light can still come through where the vanes meet; for bedrooms that need full darkness, a roller blind or drapes may suit better.
What fabrics are vertical blinds made in?
The vanes come in light-filtering, semi-filtering and blackout fabrics. We choose the fabric with you from our sample books, according to the room's light and use.
